Gretel’s life is turned upside down when her new brother Hansel arrives. He gets all the attention, the cuddles and the kisses and poor Gretel is told to ‘grow up’ and remember that she’s ‘a big girl now’! But Gretel doesn’t want to be big! And she doesn’t want the annoying little brother who’s too small to play.
When Mother and Father take the children to the forest, Gretel has a chance to get rid of the little brother once and for all. But the forest is full of danger and Gretel will have to learn to get along with Hansel if they are both going to survive the adventure.
Based on the well-loved Brothers Grimm classic fairy tale, Gretel and Hansel is a heartfelt, humorous and exciting tale about sibling rivalry, family love, courage and understanding what it means to be a big sister! The two children become both characters and storytellers as they bring audiences on a thrilling and imaginative journey. Gretel and Hansel will help encourage children to work together, appreciate their siblings and understand the importance of family love.

Sharon is a bilingual singer, actor and dancer who graduated with a BA(First Class Honours) degree in Musical Theatre from LASALLE College of the Arts and has since performed in various musicals and theatre productions. Some of her theatre credits include W!ld Rice's Momotaro and the Magnificent Peach; Toy Factory's Crab Flower Club and A Dream Under the Southern Bough: Existence; Bitesize Theatre Production's The Monster in the Mirror Musical; Esplanade's PLAYtime! Fatimah and her Magic Socks; Singapore Chinese Orchestra's Infinite Island; Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Fantastic Mr Fox and Red Riding Hood; The Theatre Practice’s Liao Zhai Rocks! and Four Horse Road; Tiny Feat’s Annie Ting and the Dragon; and Dream Academy’s Detention Katong.
She has also lent her voice to productions such as Double Confirm Production's Hossan-AH 50! and sung for The Theatre Practice's Nursery Rhymes Project. She enjoys how theatre has allowed her to expand the human experience and looks to bring that experience to her audience.
Jayden Lim is a theatre and film actor with a great interest in uncovering the intricacies of the human psyche. Recently, he has been on a journey to rediscover his identity and found that the uniqueness and eccentricity of his Singaporean-ness is something that he wishes to amplify in his theatre-making. He aims to bring theatre closer to Singaporeans by creating relatable, yet deeply personal stories in his work.
He is a fresh graduate from LASALLE College of the Arts, as part of the BA(Hons) Acting course (2022). He is also a graduate of Wild Rice’s Young&Wild (2019).
Some of his notable theatre credits include the role of ‘Kai Xuan’ in Nine Years’ Theatre Between You and Me (2022) and the role of ‘Life’ in Erosion Collective’s Truth or Dare (2021). He has also won the “Viewer’s Choice” Award for his self-directed and self-written performance (Re)Opening Up as part of SRT’s Coronalogues Competition. His notable film credits include the role of Wei Qi in Adulting (2021) and the role of Sam in The Miracle Barbershop (2021), which are both Viddsee Originals webseries. He was also nominated for the Favourite Actor Award for his role of “Nick” in Messenger as part of ciNE65 MMA competition (2021).
