Adapting Texts for Performances
Students will explore how dialogue and characters are developed from page to stage. They will participate in theatre exercises such as movement, voice work and role play. This allows them to understand how to physicalise a character and create scenes for performances.
Participants will:
- Understand processes of taking a novel to the stage
- Develop text analysis skills
- Communicate their ideas effectively.
- Develop their knowledge of theatrical devices for storytelling
Level: Secondary 1 – 5, JC students
