At SRT, Stage Camp isn’t about giving children a script and telling them what to do. Instead, we hand them the creative reins. Using a devised-based process, children collaborate to dream up characters, craft stories, and contribute to a performance they help create. This approach encourages teamwork, imagination, and confidence as they shape a show that is uniquely theirs.
The week isn’t focused on “getting it right” for the stage - it’s about exploring ideas, making choices, and discovering how stories come to life. Along the way, they develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills in an environment where creativity is celebrated and everyone’s voice matters.
Learning Through Creative Play
Drama is learning in disguise. Through improvisation, movement, and storytelling, children practise skills such as:
Stage Camp is a place where these skills are lived, practised, and celebrated every day.

Why the Process Matters
At Stage Camp, what happens during the week is just as important as the final sharing with family and friends. In developing their own piece from scratch, children:
This process gives every child - whether naturally outgoing or more reserved - a role to play in shaping something that’s truly theirs.
How Stage Camp Stands Out
Stage Camp is led by experienced teaching artists who know how to make every child feel valued and included. Each week begins with a theme or story seed — sometimes inspired by a familiar tale, sometimes something entirely new — and grows through the children’s ideas, input, and imagination.
We also offer Stage Camp in both English and Mandarin, giving families flexibility while adding a rich language-learning element to the creative process.
At the end of the week, families are invited to watch the children’s collaborative creation - a joyful celebration of their ideas, hard work, and teamwork.
A Stage for Every Age
Stage Camp offers activities tailored to two age groups, so children can learn and grow at the right pace.
For ages 4–7, little ones explore drama basics, self-expression, and teamwork, gaining confidence as they step onto the stage for the first time.
Kids aged 8–12 tackle more advanced skills, including creative problem-solving, leadership, and a variety of drama techniques like puppetry and physical theatre.
By tailoring activities to their developmental stage, every child is encouraged to contribute, experiment, and discover their unique voice — making Stage Camp a place where budding actors can thrive and shine.
