Every leader and team member can benefit from soft skills. In The Art of Improvisation workshop, the participant learns how to effectively read a room and how to be adaptable when the unexpected happens.

This workshop will incorporate fundamental improvisation concept of “Yes, and … “. Utilising engaging improvisation games and techniques, participants will gain confidence as they develop stronger listening skills, bolstering the ability to think on their feet and harnessing spontaneity. Participants will also learn how to encourage each other by realizing the merits in all ideas and developing as a team.

  • Learn to turn setbacks into successes and not be afraid of failure
  • Learn techniques to improve communication by reducing barriers and increasing acceptance

William “Bill” Landsman has been practising the principles of Improvisation for 15 years which he has condensed into a simplified method. Bill sees the opportunity and potential for the participant to push beyond the comfort zone and grow and is adept at creating an environment where “not being good at something” is encouraged.  Bill holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University.

This series of workshop is about putting your organization, workforce, management and leaders at the centre of the stage. The creation of theatre incorporates many transferable skills, allowing growth and development from stage to the workplace.

Actors are great communicators; they take on a multitude of characters in many situations and are able to articulate emotions, meanings and messages very effectively. They have to think on their feet, react to new situations and work in teams. The Director is a leader and commands the attention of the cast by being both nurturing and authoritative.  He exemplifies leadership qualities as someone who listens, responds, guides and ensures the smooth delivery of the theatre performance.
