Daniel Jenkins, Lead Artist
Daniel is a multi-award-winning actor and director. Originally from the UK having trained at Guildford School of Acting, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and Goldsmiths University, Daniel holds a Master of Arts in Arts Pedagogy and Practice, a BA in Theatre, and a Licentiate in Teaching Drama. Daniel is well known as an actor, director, and educator having worked for all the leading theatre companies in Singapore, appeared in many television shows and feature films, (most notably Crazy Rich Asians), and lectured and directed at Singapore’s top drama schools.
As Deputy Artistic Director at Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT), Daniel has been TYC’s Leading Artist since 2008 and has directed 15 of their productions. These include Falling Falling Falling Falling, A Super Happy Story (about feeling super sad), After Life, A Monster Calls, Girls Like That, Ghostlight, 1984, The Fall, The Roses of Eyam, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Laramie Project, The Trojan Women, Lord of the Flies, Grimm Tales, and The Crucible.
Daniel has been nominated 7 times for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor at the Straits Times Life Theatre Awards. His most recent nominations were for Best Actor in 2025 for Who’s Afraid of Virgina Woolfe (Pangdemonium) and Best Director in the 2023 nominations for The Almighty Sometimes (SRT). He has twice won the Best Supporting Actor Award for his roles in Quills, and Cabaret.
